Can we save you money on your park tickets & car hire ?
If you are
considering a trip to Florida two of your biggest potential bills, (apart from air-fares -
discussed on our F.A.Q. page), will be for car hire and
theme park tickets.
Although you can buy both whilst in Florida, you will
almost certainly pay more than if you buy before your holiday when you at least
have the facility to compare prices unpressured by any salesperson!
We
recommend these three links: CAR
HIRE , SAT-NAV
HIRE and THEME PARK TICKETS
as being reputable vendors at reasonable cost.... We don't get any commission from
these, but do gain
"villa points" which puts our villa nearer the top of the "Orlando
Villas" website...
Please hunt around for better deals, but we would
appreciate it if you could buy through our links!!
This new link lets you see a video of each car type available: CAR TYPES - Should give you a much better idea of what's out there....
New bit: Normally, car hire is limited to over 25's unless a very expensive premium is paid. Our car supplier has a new contract with Alamo which allows one under-25 driver for £25 per week...
Some points
worthy of mention:-
Be very aware that if you decide to upgrade your
hire car at
the airport, you will be charged a LOT extra...(and we do mean A LOT... +100% is
not unusual !) - That friendly clerk pressuring you
to buy all those unnecessary extras is on commission !!.
Car hire sold as part of a flydrive
package will normally NOT include insurances - which are actually the biggest
expense of car rental.
Although ticket booths in Florida sell cheap park tickets, they are normally tied
to very hard-sell condominium visits (used to be time-share)...
(Yes, first
visit to Florida, we got 'caught' & were bored
out of our brains for 4 hours....)
We have
links to all the major theme parks on our other website:
SMIFFS.NET.
All the parks sell their own tickets & sometimes have
"special offers"......
